Please check your facts – the biblical account of Noah was derived from the Babylonian myth of Utanapishtim. Your mythical God didn’t 'inspire' it.

As with the question about pagan myths and the New Testament, obviously the author of Genesis rejected the Epic of Gilgamesh, from which the character of Utanapishtim is taken. Though it is possible that the style and literary character of Genesis may have been patterned after other writings, this was certainly a common practice within that time period, and therefore ought to be regarded as innocuous even if true.
